Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. A three-day charter pass is around $20.00 and can be purchased online here.
What do I need to bring for fishing trips?
Rain gear, seasickness pills, sunscreen, good boat shoes, sunglasses, hat, Ziploc’s and a cooler if you want to take fish home.
How long do we fish each day?
Inshore fishing trips are typically 6-7 hours, Offshore fishing trips are 10-12 hours.
Are lunch and drinks provided on the boat?
No, you are responsible for bringing your own food and drinks unless you have the all-inclusive package
Where is the closest airport to Venice Fishing Lodge?
Louis Armstrong International in New Orleans, a 1- and 45-minute hour drive to the Venice Marina
Are the lodges smoke free?
Yes.
Is internet available?
Yes. We offer wireless internet at our lodges.
Are pets allowed?
No.
When is check-in and check-out time?
Check-in is 4 pm and check-out time is 10am, late check-out can be available if approved only by Dana Wilson
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. Reservations are not considered firm until deposit is received.
Does REO do offshore trips?
Yes. We partner with several premier offshore outfitters in Venice.
Can we fish with four anglers to a boat?
Yes. However, it can diminish the overall experience of your trip. We highly recommend fishing with 2-3 anglers per boat.
Do you mix groups in the same room or boat?
At no time will you be sharing a bedroom or boat with someone other than your group.
